ROBERTA DI PIETRO
PRESIDENT
Roberta Di Pietro graduated in Medicine and Surgery cum Laude in 1985 and specialized in Sports Medicine cum Laude in 1988 at the G. d'Annunzio University of Chieti (UdA), Italy. She worked as a visiting scientist in 1990 and 1993 at the Department of Biochemistry, AFRC, Cambridge, United Kingdom; in 1998 at the Department of Pathology, USUHS, Bethesda, United States; and in 2001 at the Institute of Human Virology, University of Maryland, Baltimore, United States. Since 2005, she has served at the G. d'Annunzio University of Chieti as Full Professor of Histology and Head of the Laboratory of Cell Biology and Functional Histology, Department of Medical Sciences and Aging (DMSI). She is Guest Editor for numerous international scientific journals, Review Editor and Associate Editor for the journal Frontiers in Oncology, Member of the Editorial Board of the Horizon Research Publishing Corporation and the European Journal of Histochemistry, and Honorary Member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Oncology. Since 2018, she has been President of the Pierluigi Natalucci Association Together for Art and Science, and since 2022, she has been President of the Italian Society of Histochemistry and of the Degree Course in Physiotherapy at the Gabriele d'Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara. She is the author of more than 200 scientific publications.

Since 2001, teacher of Drawing and Art History in upper secondary school; after graduating in Architecture, obtained a PhD in History of Architecture and Urban Planning on the topic of the Renaissance Française. Alongside a love for the history of architecture, also passionate about reading, cinema, and travel.

Born in Brindisi on 07/30/1960, Paola Di Pietro graduated from the Gabriele D'Annunzio classical high school in Pescara in 1979 with a score of 60/60. She subsequently obtained a degree in philosophy from the Alma Mater University of Bologna in 1984, with honors.
In 1986 she became a tenured teacher of literary subjects and from 1990 to the present she has taught Italian and Latin at the Albert Einstein Scientific High School in Teramo. As vice principal from 2007 to 2010, she oversaw several educational projects at the high school and currently serves as secretary of Italia Nostra, Teramo section, and secretary of the Pierluigi Natalucci Association Together for Art and Science.
Born in Pescara on April 20, 1961, graduated in Information Science in Pisa, after a brief experience in teaching he is now ICT Manager at Fater S.p.A.
ANTONELLA PIERSANTE

Born on 15/01/1956 in Pescara. She attended the "G. d'Annunzio" Classical High School, where she obtained her diploma on July 29, 1975. She graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and German) from the "G. d'Annunzio" University on 3/06/1980. She has taught English at the "L. Da Vinci" High School, the "G. Galilei" High School, and for 15 years has been teaching at the "C. D'Ascanio" Scientific High School in Montesilvano.
Graduated with honors in Pharmacy from the University of Florence in 2007. He obtained a specialization in Medical Pharmacology from the University of L'Aquila in 2014. He then earned a PhD in Translational Medicine from the G. d'Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara in 2016. During his three years of doctoral studies, he spent about a year at the Royal Institution of Great Britain (London UK) conducting research on nanoscale materials. He is currently a research fellow at the Department of Medicine and Aging Sciences at the G. d'Annunzio University of Chieti–Pescara.
PAOLO REGI

Born in Atri (TE) on 01/09/1979, he graduated with top marks from the B. Spaventa Scientific High School in Montesilvano (PE) in July 1998. He subsequently graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Chieti in March 2005 with a score of 110/110 cum laude, then enrolled in the Specialization Course in General Surgery at the University of Verona, obtaining his specialization in November 2010 (score of 70/70 cum laude) and spending the last six months of his residency as a Lister Clinical Fellow (Registrar) at the HPB Unit of the Royal Infirmary of Glasgow in Scotland. From November 2010 to the present, he has held the position of hospital surgeon with a permanent contract at the Hepato-Bilio-Pancreatic Surgery Department of the "P. Pederzoli" Hospital in Peschiera del Garda (VR). He currently has performed about 350 major oncological and non-oncological surgeries as first operator in the biliopancreatic field with open or minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) approaches and has extensive experience in Emergency Surgery. He has participated in numerous Italian and international congresses as a speaker and moderator, is co-author of 20 scientific publications in international journals, and has participated as a lecturer in several Pancreatic Surgery courses held at Pederzoli Hospital.
